We had such a wonderful meal at Gioia, that on our last evening in Madrid, we took the train across town and went back. Delightful, friendly people, WONDERFUL food. Interesting menu and generous servings. I had the Carbonerra and it was some of the best I have eaten, including Italy and New York. Tiramusu better than Italy (sorry Italian friends). Clayton had pasta with black truffles the second night and when I tasted it, I traded away lobster for it -- it was THAT good. I would definitely go back and I highly recommend it. As a side note, our first visit was on the evening after the U.S. Supreme Court had ruled in favor of marriage equality and my partner (spouse) and I were celebrating a bit and the staff was so welcoming and warm. Thank you for a great memory of Spain!!
