A foodie friend of ours from the Bay Area recommended this restaurant after her recent visit to Spain. She informed us that the chef (Armando Justo) recently moved back to Madrid after 15 years in SF having worked with chef Sho Kamio (of Berkeley's Iyasare on Fourth street which opened less than a year ago) and made us promise that we would take a break from tapas to give this restaurant a run.
Great regional wine list to pair with the Asian fusion menu.
We had the tuna tartar, tempura, seared steak and sushi. Our wine was the Imperial Reserva Rioja 2008. All of the food was unique and absolutely amazing. Great service and so far the culinary highlight of our trip. This spot with low key atmosphere will certainly become an obvious food destination in Madrid.
By the way, one tip is that we made our reservation using a restaurant reservation app similar to opentable called The Fork which offers discounts and specials.
Era la segunda vez q íbamos y nos volvió a gustar mucho!! El sushi está increíble, os recomiendo el Maki especial geisha q es espectacular! La camarera q nos atendió fue la misma q la última vez y es encantadora! Con el descuento del tenedor se queda a un precio bueno, repetiremos seguro!
