We were staying down the street and starving. This place is nice, but their drink selection wasn't the best. Nor did they have many vegetarian options.
My sister and I stayed at a hotel around the corner from O'Tubo while we were in Barcelona. While the hotel was very nice, I've since forgotten the name of it. But I still remember this restaurant and a couple of the names of the wait staff. Rex, his brother-in-law and his sister-in-law (Rosemary) were warm and friendly. They took the time to recommend certain dishes, ask us how we enjoyed the food once we got it, asked us how we were enjoying Barcelona, and made general chit chat. I must say that the food was delicious! My favorites include the grilled mushrooms, grilled cuttlefish/squid, razor clams, and the tortilla (only available for breakfast). And as already noted by another reviewer, their coffee is the best I had in all of Spain. My sister and I would walk down to O'Tubo every morning for their great food, but mostly for their amazing coffee before heading for a day of sightseeing. I find myself thinking about their robust and flavorful coffee at least once a week...... If you are ever in Barcelona and in the L'Eixample area, do yourself a favor and stop by here, if for nothing else than the coffee.
Un clásico del barrio, menú de medio día 14,50, bastante variado, buena cantidad y calidad, atención muy buena. A parte tienes buena carta para elegir salirte de lo normal. Recomendable hacer reserva o tendrás que esperar.
