Update: we've been for Round Two and it's still wow!! There is a chink in their armor: we do not like their primi offerings. We've done the bruschetta and the caprese and were not wow'd. Why the 5* now? Consistently: - exceptional service - fantastic location - amazing sangria (best yet!) - phenomenal pasta courses - very fair prices The spaghetti pomodoro is wonderfully simple yet wow. The bolognese is to die for. I did the spaghetti allo scoglio last night and YUM. See? Not perfect, but close enough. Well deserving of the updated rating!!!

We had Christmas Eve dinner here and it was fantastic! The restaurant is lovely, the food was very good and the staff is attentive and charming. We had the caprese salad to start which was fresh & seasoned just right. For our entrees; spaghetti allo scoglio, gnocchi crema scampi, lasagna, & fettuccine with 4 cheese sauce. Everything was so fresh and had amazing flavor. The red wine that was recommend was very good and nicely priced. Overall a great place and yummy food! Thanks for making our Christmas holiday a little more special with your lovely restaurant

I spent a couple of weeks in Rota for work and stayed in another hotel close by. It was off season so many of the local places were closed. A colleague and I wandered out one evening to find a place to eat and stumbled upon this place. How lucky we were! The folks who run this nice little restaurant are kind and welcoming. Service was superior and the food and wine were absolutely delicious. One thing I enjoy when dining in Europe is that one never feels rushed to pay the bill and leave as soon as you're done eating. It was great to enjoy a wonderful Italian meal and drink great wine in a cozy, relaxing environment with no pressure to leave and make way for other diners. We enjoyed this place so much that we returned two more times in about a week. Sadly, I doubt I'll return to Rota again anytime soon, if ever. But if I do, Tuscania is on my must visit list.

This restaurant is associated with the Hostal Sixto. They are the warmest people, true Italian hospitality. The pasta is made fresh, on site, every day. The hotel is also a 5 if you ever think you want to stay.

I finally had the chance to try this place after walking past it so many times. It was a nice surprise to see the inside, high ceilings and it was decorated nicely for the holidays. One of my friends lived in Italy for 11 years so she was real excited to try this place. I felt like I was watching a job interview as she asked our server the "whats" and "hows" of the italian cooking process that they do in their restaurant. Her enthusiasm got me excited to try the food. The food: There was a complimentary cheese bread with tomato sauce that they gave us. It tasted fine and helped us curb our hunger. We each ordered the spaghetti allo scoglio, spaghetti carbonara and the fettuccine with mushrooms. The pasta itself was cooked just right. Not too mushy or soft. The scoglio pasta was great! The only issue i had with the carbonara was that the egg ended up looking like a scrambled egg and did not have a creamy consistency like It is supposed to have. The taste was good though. The fettuccine with mushrooms was the least of our favorite as it had a watery taste to it. We had three kids with us so they all split a pasta pomodoro and they all devoured it. This place gets 4 stars - 3 for the food but one extra because of the great service and friendliness of the ones who own/work there. Will definitely come back if im craving the seafood pasta!

A very good meal. We had the spicy fettuccini with mushrooms and lasagna. Very good. I asked for red wine and got a great Rossi which hit the spot.

Had dinner on July 23rd 2016. Had a great pasta dish, fettuccini with mushrooms, for around 10 euro. I had great customer service. It was neat because of the proximity of the kitchen, I felt like I was eating at someone's house. A short walk out of the Rota gate. I will be back for sure.

What a cozy and beautiful restaurant with a homemade feel and taste to the food they prepare a meer 20 ft away from you. It has friendly and fairly quick service, plus the staff are very friendly. I reccomend this to anyone who wants a rustic italian experience.

The Penne Alla Arrabiata (8€) was cooked perfectly. Noodles were al-dente and the sauce was fresh and lively with the right amount of spice, much unlike other so-called "spicy" dishes experienced in Spain to date. Customer service was very friendly and accommodating, too.

Discover this lil gem on our last day in Rota. It's only 2 mins walked from our hotel. Wish I'd know earlier so I can dine here every night during our stay in Rota. That's how good it is. 1. Lasagna - my daughter order this dish and swear it's the best she ever I had. She finished every lil bite. 2. Penne with homage sauce - the noodle softness is just perfect pairing with a spicy sauce. Dish look very simple like something you can make at home. But oh boy it's something I never had before. 3. Gnocchi with shrimp - every bites was delish. The shrimp was fresh and the cream sauce is not too creamy. 4. Sangria - I don't know what they put in the drink. But it's the best sangria we had. 5. Service was top notch. Everyone's so friendly and attentive. Highly recommended this place.

Excellent Italian food! We went twice in three days, which is unheard of in our travels. They make different pastas from scratch, which are not to be missed. The fettuccine bolognese, a special request that was gladly granted, was awesome! I also tried the lasagne - simply excellent. Finally, they make a spaghetti carbonara that is the best I've ever had, though I did have it with fettuccine, as it was fresh made that day! This is a keeper!

I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant owned and operates by the most charming Italian woman named Roberta. The lasagna and canneloni are amazing; the pasta is homemade. My seven year old said that the lasagna was the best she'd ever had in her life:) The Tiramisu is also delicious and perfectly moist. The plaza in which the restaurant is located is relatively quiet with some foot traffic - just enough energy.

Wow! I know I didn't come to Spain for the Italian food but this place is as good as or better than the food I recently had in Naples and Sicily. The service was outstanding and the food is so fresh and delicious. We actually ate here two nights in a row to make sure we could have our second choices on their menu. The next time I roll through Rota I will be stopping in.
