My partner sue and I celebrate our birthday on the same day. 11th September. This year we chose to have our birthday meal at the Farola Del Mare.
We were seated on the terrace with a lovely view out to a beautiful sunset. The food was absolutely beautiful and the service was wonderful with the staff being attentive without overwhelming!! Sue had a warm lobster salad to start while I had scallops. Both dishes were lovely we then had tournedos of lamb and a fillet steak. I’d forgotten how good a steak can taste and this with a peppercorn sauce was fantastic. Sue is a connoisseur of lamb and, her dish certainly didn’t disappoint.
Drinks kept us sat chatting listening to the great acoustic guitar in the background. What a great way to wile away the evening till late o’clock, sues sangria was great, the staff heard it was our birthday and a free glass of Prosecco appeared (thanks Heidi you are lovely). To all the staff a huge thank you and we’ll definitely be back! Just need to book the holiday!!
I've just returned from an amazing meal at this beautiful restaurant! Me, my mum and nan have all just had a wonderful experience here. I wanted to have the lobster as I have eaten it before but had no idea what to choose or how it was cooked as there were many different options. The waitress (Francesca) was extremely helpful in explaining everything to me and made me feel very comfortable in making my decision. I have to say it was the best decision as my food was absolutely incredible! Both my mum and nan also enjoyed every part of their meal too! We had amazing cocktails, mine had also been recommended to me and was perfect! The food was reasonably priced, atmosphere good and service and food excellent. Would plan to return in a heartbeat!�
From walking in the entrance as a family of 8 we knew that this place was going to be special. The maitre de and serving staff were first class & great with the 2 toddlers we had in the group. The singer had a great voice & choice of songs & all in all it wasn't about the money because you can't buy that kind of service & ambience.
I would strongly recommend this place & we will be back on our next visit in September.
