El bar bonito, tiene terraza. Había música en vivo. Está mas pensado para el turismo británico.

After a walk around the town we decided to visit a small bar/restaurant that we visited probably 10 years ago. Although under new management and new name The Boatyard, we were hungry and as it was Sunday we had Sunday Lunch, with a full choice of different roasts and not many staff to serve and the power going out twice I wasn't holding out much hope! We were pleasantly surprised 😮, it was lovely, I've had worse in a carvery...Well done 👏 and I'm not easy to please.

Hi. We have been here twice this year for steak night. Twice last year as well. It's great. Food excellent both times. Staff are very friendly. Always a warm welcome. Also tea time beers a must. Fancy trying coffee and cake. Fab. Xxxxxxxx

Best of luck to the new owners George and Stacey in your new venture. Well worth a visit to this very friendly bar. We were made feel very welcome every night we went in. Staff are excellent very friendly especially new recruit Christian 11 out of 10 for him. Food was lovely very reasonable priced with big portions. You wont leave hungry. Nightly entertainment some thing to suit all age groups. All round excellent bar. Would highly recommemd a visit here.

Under new management and just fab!!! This bar to me is categorised as a friendly comfortable bar serving food and drink. Staff are welcoming and attentive. Whether I have been for a full English in the morning, a great fish and chip supper or stopped by for a relaxed drink in the sunshine it has always been top notch. There are a variety of activities each day or evening ranging from great live music to bingo. In addition there are screens to watch your favourite sporting events but these are not used to spoil the ambiance as music is played rather than listen to the commentator ramble on. The whole place has had a facelifts offering a modern and fresh look, children are welcome and I have seen people from the apartments close by ordering take away too. The toilets are down a flight of stairs so may be difficult for those unsteady on their feet. There is direct access to the Celeste apartments too. It is possible to get just a coffee and sit outside or in to enjoy the weather and ambience. There is a large parking area out of the front and children’s play area only 20 metres away. On a return visit to the Highlander it has proved to be as friendly and well run as ever, it’s very busy at specific times but this just reflects its popularity. Lovely dinner and drink to finish the evening, keep it up staff you are appreciated! Salad dressing to die for !!!!

Been coming to this place for years, through many different owners, but last night we had the "steak deal". Two 10oz ribeye and a bottle of wine for €25. Price is brilliant but steak is amazing. Thanks George and Stacy.

Nice food, fantastic home made chips! But unwilling to help one of our party who was vegetarian by allowing her something from the lunch menu.
