Lovely place run by friendly people serving lovely food.
Cosy thatched roof terrace by the sidewalk.
Curry sauce was fantastic. Very nice chips and scrumptious cod with crusty batter. Feels light, delicious and not greasy.
Really eager to try the hammock next time around!
Best Fish & Chips I have ever had in Spain alongside "Northern Sole" in Benidorm.
Still sat at the table, so content! Gluten free fish and chips, mushy peas and home made tartare sauce. along with a side of gf onion rings to share with Muggle husband. He says his normal fish and chips and the onion rings were fab. Mine was devine. The lady serving us was a breath of fresh air. Happy and helpful. Well worth the 30 minutes drive. We'll definitely be back. Thanks for a lovely lunch.
We visited here yesterday and were greeted by a very friendly lady who kindly fit us in and made us feel very welcome.
The food was delicious and matched all the other positive reviews. We also met the chef who was also another friendly character and mentioned the fish is cooked fresh everyday.

Excellent fish&chips à Calpe. Je le recommande vivement. Tout était bien cuits, les frites en particulier. Vu que je donne que très rarement 5 étoiles je leur donne ma note maximale. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ J’y retournerai. Et l’hygiène de la cuisine est exemplaire.

Des & Sarah are so nice & friendly, it felt like we had being their customers for years.
My wife is a celiac & Smyth’s have a fantastic Gluten Free menu & plenty of sauces to go along with her meal.

Très bonne impression pour cette première visite. Nous avons déjeuné à deux, très bien reçu avec le sourire, la serveuse était entrain de nettoyer consciencieusement les tables. Une fois la commande passée, nous sommes servis rapidement, les produits sont frais et bien présentés. L’endroit est assez calme à proximité de la mer. Nous reviendrons.
The BEST fish and chips in the Moraira-Calpe area without any question. Freshly made and hand battered, no frozen skin on rubbish in sight. Sarah is a wonderful hostess, welcoming and helpful. Thanks Smyth’s!!!
Andrew I have to disagree with you in your review below, I found €16.50 great value for the food and service you are getting. I'm not a lover of peas and was given the option of a portion of curry sauce which was devine with the freshly cooked chips. Would highly recommend and will be back in September and will definitely be calling in again.
After seeing the good reviews for Smyths we thought we would give it a try. I have to say the fish is first class with excellent fresh cooked chips. The tatar sauce , mushy peas and curry sauce, which we thought we would try are an excellent accompaniment. Excellent friendly service from Sarah and the owner. we will definitely be going there again. Highly recommend.
Absolutely the best best Fish'n chips on the costas! The quality of the products and customer service is setting a very high standard. Ice cold guiness easy going happy environment and Des's banter make it a great experience which is FIVE STAR
Where do I begin with Smyth's Fish and Chip restaurant!! Absolutely fantastic fish, the batter is so light, cooked there as you order by Irish Des, just like myself. The chips are real potatoes, cooked to order also and the curry sauce to die for.
Patty , Des's wife served us and was so nice. We went back a second time it was so good. The menu is just like the chipper at home and I believe the steak and kidney pie is a must. This is the first chipper I have found outside Ireland in all my travels, a wonderful idea by Des and Patty and I wish them continued success.
If you are visiting Caple do not pass this restaurant, the restaurant is also immaculately clean with fresh white tiles and beautiful toilets. I will be back. Congratulations to both of you.

What a great fish and chips place a real plus for Calpe I had a lovely well tasting cod with nice chips with it took it with no sauces to try the fish I can tell you the best I had in months well fried in beer butter.great they will see me again I went with my Harley to take away and it was still crispy and hot when I arrived at home.

Walking round the shops .we came across...smyths. fish &chip shop.
Received a really warm welcome from Mrs smyth .Sat out side under the beautiful shaded area.
And when our fish &chips arrived.

Smyths fish and chip shop made us feel so welcome the staff a really freindly and the place is spotless clean. Me the wife and our small dog came here tonight and we had the best guiness steak pie chips mushy peas and gravy each. The food is good quality and home made british food best meal of the holiday so far if your in calpe make sure you dont give this place a miss forget the rest try the best !!!
