We stumbled upon this fantastic little restaurant while walking one day. We've been coming to Caleta for years and we're always keen to try new places and this one did not disappoint! We dined in the walled court yard one evening and were delighted at the menu choices. The service was excellent and the food was presented and tasted fantastic. It's certainly a cut above the rest for Caleta! Unfortunately I only took photos of the starters and desert, but I had the fillet for my main, which was cooked to perfection. We will definitely be returning!
In the most pokiest little restaurant, attached to an even small hotel you'll find some really great eating. After eating here on the suggestion of someone local, I can absolutely agree that this is the best traditional Italian cuisine in this small town.
Based on the food I would love to stay here and try the breakfast and beds. There is a a real charm and villa look. At the same time I must add it's very compact. The outside restaurant seating is a stone drop from our table. But they make the best of the space they have, so cannot fault them for this.
Starters were fantastic wifey going with the THAY shrimp salad, of course English is a second language, but food is their first. And they mean THAI shrimps, chickpea puree. Wifey loved this, they shrimps cooked perfectly. Personally I didn't like the raw vegetables, but then again, I am Chinese.
I had the Sea Bass steak with a Pea cream sauce. And I really loved this dish, the fish, the fried taste, the balance of the creamed peas. What a dish, I really like this.
The dishes look small, but you will leave very full. The prices are actually very good value for a fine dining experience. I would highly recommend and couldn't praise them enough.
For the mains the wifey tried the Black Angus with sauteed mushrooms and oporto sauce. This was a great dish however the sauce was too rich and too thick. It overpowered the steak, so a thinner sauce probably would have suited better. I had the Seafood Tagliolini I have no arguments here and perfect food to get stuck in their with your fingers.
After this we were completely full, but have to try a dessert. So we shared a pistachio parfait which it was nice light and full pof pistachio flavour. Thank god it was light.
All the dishes looked beautiful and well presented. It's was strange it is not more busy, but can understand as it served a more traditional style. Which means, more seafood and less tomato based dishes.
For a quiet, fine dining meal for small groups I would rate this place in the top 3 for this area.
Had a great Dinner with my Girlfriend. Service was very friendly. Food (i had a black angus fillet and my girlfriend had handmade taglioni) was great. Despite beeing in spain, there are plenty italian wines on the card. All in all a perfect italian experience. We will come again.
Cibo meraviglioso! Abbiamo preso due piatti di carne che potevano essere tranquillamente in menù stellato. Materie prime di ottima qualità e trattate in modo sopraffino, con abbinamenti di sapori e consistenze sublimi. Lo chef è un artista. Hanno prodotti italiani originali, come i vini, di ottima qualità a prezzi onestissimi. Anche il dolce era una vera goduria. Peccato che non abbiamo avuto tempo per tornare a mangiarci anche il pesce. Servizio impeccabile, ambiente carino ed intimo. Supermegaconsigliato!!
I dinned here several times during my summer stay in Caleta.
sIt's many years since I have had food served at this standard. The thought that has gone into producing the menu and then the execution of culinary skills just simply the finest. The chef, Andrea has expertise associated with and found in the finest restaurants of the world. Examples: Yellowfin Tuna, Black Angus Veal just 2 of the dishes on offer. Andrea even took the time to cook specials for me. Brilliant. Thank you
This restaurant is amazing! It’s a hotel restaurant that is on the terrace next to the pool. The food was delicious and every bite had so much flavour. The cheesecake was absolutely divine! Enzo, the waiter, was fantastic and service was so quick and efficient. Definitely worth a visit!
Update: I returned to restaurant again and was not disappointed. Another great experience!
