Casilda was recommended to us by someone who attended college in Bilbao. We ended up going here on the day we arrived in town for their Menu del Dia and are so happy we did! It truly felt like a 3-course fine dining experience for only €12.90 each! Both my daughter and I started with an outstanding cod, purple onion, and picked cucumber ceviche. Delicious! My daughter then chose the Fideuà black noodles with squid, mussels, lemon and mint, so unusual to look at but she loved it, while I had the hake, prawns, and seafood sauce cannelloni. And for dessert we each had tiramisu - one of the best we ever had. We to get back here again some day!
Posh restaurant across from the Museum of Fine Arts offering great dishes, nice laid back ambiance and friendly staff at a reasonable price. Best food I ate in Bilbao !
Really nice food: I had two plates, roasted vegetables and raw tuna tower (can't remember the proper word!) with guacamole. Vegetables were spectacular and cooked just right. Tuna was much more subtle. For a couple these two dishes would probably be good for a meal as I was stuffed. Staff were fine, although they stuck the lone traveling foreigner guy right in the back corner in a mostly empty restaurant. I'll almost certainly go back next week.
