I was struggling to find anywhere decent that took my fancy one Tuesday night over Christmas and popped in here after looking at the overall great reviews. It didn't disappoint. This is a small family run pub with the owner originally from Nottingham (hence the name), with a good selection of well-kept beers and a bar menu with various reasonably priced dishes. I opted for the steak pie, chips, veg and gravy and it was delicious. The wedge of pie was packed with succulent chunks of steak in a crisp pastry. Cooked to perfection and it hit the spot. I wish I had found this pub before the end of my holiday. It ticks all the boxes with friendly staff, well priced food and ales and it's clean. I would recommend it to anyone.
