Located in La Rambla, what stands out in this restaurant is the cooking standard and quality of service. The restaurant is built in a narrow and longish space that doesn't provide the best of sitting arrangements. The management however seems to have done their best by keeping the place very neat. Painting and Turkish artwork drawn on the walls gives a nice look.
When it comes to cooking, they do it really well. If you are fond of Turkish kebabs, this is one of the better places in Barcelona. They display all that they cook and we found the quality of meat that they were using quite good. We ordered most of the best things on the card.... Adana, Iskander, lamb chops, few salads and starters along with veges (egg plant and green chilies) and found all of them very well cooked.
Service is very good. Rates are reasonable and it will cost you €15 to 18 per person. If they improve their sitting area, they will be amongst the best. Not giving it a 5 star only due to this reason.
€7 for a chicken kebab wrap meal(includes a passable small portion of chips and a drink) and €7 for a kebab batch meal(includes chips and drink) - sauces provided - nice place to eat - relax and enjoy - good service provided. However, it is notable for any one to visit here that, the person behind counter puts the change for your payment on the counter instead of in the hands, this can be masked as a sign of disrespect especially when money was given in the hand when making payment and not on the counter. Give respect get respect. I would advise for any one to put money on counter instead of in hand.
Like stepping into the city Istanbul for a bite of delicious food...nice people, too.
Looking at our 2003 scrap book of a trip to Barcelona with friends, I find a receipt for Luna de Istanbul. I remember enjoying our meal outside, under the trees. Lovely end to the day.
This place is the best! Get the cheap bread roll kebab (the one on the far left for like 4 euro) with hot sauce if you like a little spicy and you will lead a different life. We travelled from the other side of Barcelona to try it again and it is pretty much the Mecca of Hostel One Rambla. Nothing compares.
Delicious huge falafel wrap with sauce and rainbow salad (lettuce, carrot, sweet corn, olives, red cabbage, tomato) made to order for only €4!
