I had lunch at Nectari, one of my places to go when I visit Barcelona. For lunch there is the option to eat a la carte, to get a tasting menu, a menu designed for celiacs or have the lunch menu (39 euros). I chose this option and was not disappointed.
I especially enjoyed the salmorejo (a similar dish to gazpacho) and the shrimp paella. Both were superb. The rice had a lot of taste, the taste of the shrimp was really upfront, truly enjoyable.
The restaurant is beautiful, intimate and elegant. The service very knowledgeable and friendly. Nectari is a hidden gem, a place were food departs from tradition, but that is wisely enhanced with interesting product combinations, and not superfluous games of gastronomic experiments. I will keep going every time I am in Barcelona.

The most amazing dining experience I have had! We visited in May 2016 while staying in Barcelona for a few days. From start to finish, our experience was just perfect. The waiters were attentive but not overbearing, offering helpful recommendations while keeping the noise level to a minimum. The food was heavenly, especially the desserts, which were unbelievably tasty and creative looking. The dining experience started with small appetizer bites sent by the chef, each very different. Then you order your main dish and dessert off the menu.
They had the longest wine list I've ever seen (see photo of giant book) and a good variety of dishes. I would go back a thousand time if I lived in the area. All in all, prices were affordable for a Michelin Star Restaurant. Our bottle of wine was under 30 euros and the total bill was under 200 euros for 2 people. Not bad at all!
Note: your waiter will call you a cab upon request. I left my cell phone in the bathroom and returned later to find my phone waiting for me at the door. Can't say enough great things about this place!
Nectari is clearly a step above other restaurants in Barcelona. We were there on a Wednesday, and had the earliest seating (as Americans do) at 8:30. For the first hour or so, we had the restaurant to ourselves. The decor and atmosphere of Nectari is intimate. It is a small restaurant, but the cuisine and the service are excellent.
Each course was balanced, and the tastes were often explosive. The foie gras with sparkling sugar on top comes to mind. The wine was delicious too. It was one of the best meals we have had.
A word about the service, which was excellent. If you're looking for a restaurant that is over the top with service, this is not it. That's because the service was perfect: attentive, without being over-bearing. Great recommendations; warm and inviting, without being overly familiar. Just perfect.
At the end of our meal, we got to meet the owner and chef. What a great way to end our evening. We will be back.
A Michelin star well deserved. It's a smaller restaurant with great intimacy. Do the tasting menu! Get the wine pairing for sure...each was perfect! The fish and goat courses were particularly delicious!!!
Well deserved Michelin star. Very cosy and relaxing environment with incredible service all around. Go for tasting menu - it is an experience , we did with wine pairing and with most wines being exclusively done for the chef by vineyards he visited it felt just above our expectations. The Chef and his imaginations are incredible and he does make sure to hear what u think - he comes out to speak if it is smth u enjoy - we did! Portions are typical of tasting menu at this level but presentation is original and modern. Cousine is modern Mediterranean with incredible fusion of the world flavors - anything from Asian spices to French haut cuisine sauces for the best red meat to have in Barcelona.
Bottom line - it is special occasion place if u do tasting menu - if in doubt - just do it as it is just incredible representation of what Restaurant capital of Europe can offer. We live here and In New York and yet this place has left a mark to be easily in top 5 of all the best around the world.

Desde que entramos hasta que nos fuimos la atención exquisita, la comida perfecta y con productos de primera, buenísima relación calidad-precio.

Un gran restaurante en una zona poco común. Un gran descubrimiento. Hemos disfrutado mucho. Solo una critica. Te cobran 5 euros por botella de Vichy Catalán y es agua de grifo con gas -lamentable-
Fui con mi pareja porque nos habían regalado la experiencia del menú degustación mediante un smartbox. Salimos encantados! El trato recibido fue de 10 y la comida exquisita en todos los platos. Nos comimos 4 entrantes con una potencia de sabor increíbles (blodymary de tomate, alga con caviar, salmón marinado y una bola de verduras), seguidos de un primero (a elegir entre ceviche o fua), principales de sopa de marisco y arroz meloso, y para terminar dos postres que estaban muy a la altura de la alta cocina que ofertan. Sin duda una grandísima experiencia muy recomendable para celebrar ocasiones especiales!
Elegimos este restaurante para una ocasión especial y superó todas las expectativas, comida de gran nivel, excelente trato del personal, sitio amplio y ameno.

Todo muy correcto, aunque el menú diseñado para la experiència Smartbox me resultó muy plano, cohesionado, pero en algún momento desabrido para el espectáculo visual de las propuestas. Recomendable, no obstante.
Excelente experiencia gastronómica. Atención al detalle en todo momento, ingredientes de primer nivel, platos específicamente diseñados para que la experiencia visual sea acorde con la gustativa. El foie micuit de entrante es simplemente el mejor que he probado nunca, impresionante sabor combinado con texturas. El postre de chocolate con chocolate también deberías probarlo. La atención del personal es impecable. Muy amable el chef que salió a despedirnos comentando con nosotros algunos de los platos.
El menú degustación está exquisito, no en vano cuenta con una estrella Michelin. También ofrecen menú diario con lo cual siempre se puede contar con las dos opciones. El único punto que enturbió la jornada es que tuvimos que esperar mucho al principio, por que no tenían suficiente personal para cubrir toda la sala. Sin embargo gracias a la excelente profesionalidad y atención por parte de James todo se subsanó

Comimos allí en septiembre, los platos del menú degustación eran de temporada. Todo estaba buenisimo, entraban 5 platos y un postre. El plato que más nos gustó fue la paella. El servicio muy atento y el lugar acojedor pero un poco pequeño.
Nos regalaron un menú degustación y la verdad que muy bien. Una experiencia distinta!

Fuimos a celebrar nuestro 1r aniversario de boda y fue genial! El menú degustación es una pasada y los postres también. El trato súper profesional, quedamos encantados. Decir también que fuimos el día de Sant Jordi y el postre fue una verdadera sorpresa con una rosa 🌹
Buen restaurante, comida de buena calidad, bien presentada, y con una buena selección de vinos disponible.
Pocas mesas así que es ideal para una velada romántica.
El servicio es excelente y el precio correcto.
La decoración me pareció un poco anticuada.
