The pastry counters here are a feast for the eyes and there are so many varieties and the products are very pretty. Bought a bunch of fruity pastries for my first morning in Barcelona. The pastries were light, flaky, and very delicious. Loved it!

Soooo good! Flaky croissants and good coffee. Only $2.40 for a latte and croissant. Very cute and clean inside.

We were tired of eating too much food in every meal, and wanted something lighter for lunch. We came across this bakery that had a good selection of pastries, breads, and a good lunch menu for 9€ per person that included 2 choices of a salad, and a few choices for savory things like a piece of pizza, quiche, tortilla espanola, or wraps. Being from San Francisco and being used to having access to large salads, I had low expectations for the salads here. I live in France and the salads are usually a few pieces of lettuce and shredded carrots, and I don't typically like the salads that I find in Europe. The salads that we had were excellent though and I would come back here again if I were in the area just for the salad. The lettuce was fresh, and my salad had some quinoa, dried fruits and cheese. My fiance got a salad that had tomatoes, olives and tuna and really liked it a lot. I got the tortilla espanola with zucchini which was good, and it came with 3 pieces of pan con tomate. My fiance got the quiche but I didn't love the quiche as much as quiches I've had in France. I wanted to try some of the pastries - they had Portuguese egg tarts, and other croissants and sweets. There is ample seating, so if you come with a large group it shouldn't be a problem, there's air conditioning and restrooms. I wouldn't come out of my way to eat here, but if you're in the area, it's a really good place for breakfast or lunch. I'd come back here again!

Wasn't even expecting to come here but the display in the window was AMAZING. I seriously took 5 minutes just trying to decide what to get with my cafe con leche. I settled on this twisted, palmier-esque pastry dipped in chocolate on the ends. It was divine. The coffee was balanced and delicious. The pastry was sweet and addictive. This place is only a few blocks from my apartment and I intend to try everything I can. My only complaint is that they charged 2.75€ for a cookie which, while fairly sizable, wasn't worth the price. I'd say come for the coffee and pastries and skip the cookies. Puiggros decor is as good as its food, and I really appreciate that they have many small tables and a few big ones as well. I will certainly be back and I can't wait.

I am going to miss the freshness of this amazing bakery! FRESH phenomenal food! I tried the apple tart, a little round sandwich with the "famous" Spanish ham, and my husband tried a croissant sandwich and chocolate croissant. The pastries are especially light and flakey, and the apple tart was lightly sweet with a wonderful honey. It really was amazing! I wish we had a place like this where I live, with such incredibly light and flakey and fresh baked goods!
