We just stumbled upon this hidden gem and were blown away by the service (our server Fernando was excellent!) And the food was the most sublime we had in Barcelona so far (paired with really good wine) Kudos to the chef who put her heart on every plate. And the reasonable pricing is just the cherry on top!

We found this place using The Fork app and what a great find! The prices are so reasonable and the food is amazing. The paella has been the best so far that we've tried in Barcelona and it was only about 13 euros. Our server, Sylvestre, was also so kind to take the time to explain to us the menu (in English, which we appreciated so much). The restaurant itself is great in decor and we will definitely be back before we leave Barcelona at the end of our vacation. Thanks Sylvestre and Nogal!

Fabulous ambiance and friendly service from this Cuban gentleman who struggled a bit with English but given 100% of his efforts to make us happy for the two nights we were there for dinner! Loved their french onion soup and seafood soup! Must try the black rice paella and of course the veal steak!!

Super-recomendable.

Super tolles Restaurant, sehr zentral gelegen! Absolut empfehlenswert!

Very good service! Amazing food! If you like artichokes, I highly recommend the artichoke app. Very pleased with everything up until the desert which was also great. Highly encourage stopping by if you visit Barcelona!

The food is amazing . If you want to try real Spanish food is delicious. The decoration is amazing, really different and cool place. The music is amazing, nice and warm. The atmosphere is outstanding and nice . They have a free WiFi. The service is okey. We waited for long time till someone came and order. I guess they forgot about our table. We waited another 40 minutes till food came around . We wanted to order some salad and drink but our waiter did not even checked with us once. At the end they did not ask if we want to order dessert or anything else. They left me bill and kept smiling but not take the bill like had to wait for long till someone shows up to take a bill finally! They also have an offer in yelp which they did not take it and said they are not using it for 5 years.

We found this restaurant when we finished our tour at Sagrada Familia. The place looks very authentic on google and yelp so we decided to give their seafood rice a try. We order the black ink rice and the traditional Spanish seafood rice. The menu was a little confusing because we thought that we had to make at least two orders of the same dish. The reality is that the dish was single order enough to feed two person. We double ordered the tradition Spanish rice so we ended up with a 5 people portion for the three of us. Nevertheless, the food was very good. The shrimp and squid were fresh, and the squid ink really stood out for us. also ordered two bottles of sparking water, and we finished both before the food arrive. The baking time was about 45 minutes so that can be improved if possible.

We got here just by coincidence. The exterior does not say much but don't let that fool you. We tried various dishes, from grilled vegetables to cochinillo all of it was well done with very authentic flavors. Highly recommended.

I have come here twice now and had the seafood paella and the sangria. The paella takes about 20 min, but it is the best I have had so far in Barcelona. It is rich, flavorful and luxurious. Amazing, totally would recommend!

We looked all over Barcelona for a good restaurant with good paella. 4 days into our trip, we were in low spirits and just disappointed with the food here. We wondered how the restaurants here could have such terrible food despite having such fresh produce at the super market. Nogal was actually right by our apartment where we stayed. I read good reviews on yelp about it. This restaurant is definitely not 4/5. It's 5/5 for sure. Compared to the first day, when we fell into a tourist trap and ate at this place that served the worst paella possible, had the blades fried chicken wings and the weirdest chicken on skewers, plus a roach, this place has turned around our opinion of food here. We even went to a fancy restaurant at this place close to the piers and it cannot even be compared to Nogal. The ambience was perfect. Music was just right with some French songs which we enjoyed. They didn't rush us... we got there at 9:30pm and pretty much closed the restaurant. We left at 12:30am so happy and full. The portions were huge. The food was finally delicious. Our server, Sylvestre was amazing. He have us some tips about restaurants in Barcelona. Helped us celebrate our friend's birthday and even gave us a bottle of cava free and grilled peppers of charge. We even asked him if he would be here again if we come back the next night. Unfortunately he said no. But we'll be going back for the food again... last night here but no point trying other food because no place has been able to compare.

Recommended by the man who works at the hostel we are staying at. Good paella it did not disappoint although my friend got the mixed paella and she kept adding salt to it. I however got the black paella and thought the garlic sauce on top was delicious, only wish it came with more!

Solid place. Ate here twice in Barcelona because it was close to our apartment. Service was pretty slow but that seems to be the norm in Spain. Had the squid ink paella, seafood paella and both were really good. The shrimp "scampi" appetizer was amazing. Sautéed shrimp in garlic, olive oil with bay leaves. Highly recommend. We had the goat cheese salad and we all agreed it was possibly the best salad we'd ever had. Warm goat cheese, fresh greens and an amazing thick balsamic. Would definitely go back.

I respect all the negative ratings as it comes down to preference. However, the experience for my wife, our friend and myself was exceptional. The Paella Valenciana and Negra were some of the best food we had in Barcelona. I would order 2 paellas for 4 people as there is more than enough food. You can't go wrong with the Paella Negra. The owner was simply amazing and hospitable. He came out to greet us and speak to us about what we wanted to drink. He made my wife and our friend a pitcher of white wine sangria which they both loved. The server was amazing. She was attentive and came to our table frequently to serve us well. All in all, I highly recommend this spot especially if you are coming out of La Sagrada Família. Amazing food and even more amazing service.

Walking around directionless in Barcelona so we hopped to this place for a quick snack. I use "quick" very loosely given we ended up opting for the many course tapas meal for 19.50 euros per person. It ended up being rather great! The memorable courses included the patatas bravas (the best we had in Barcelona), egg and potato omelette cake, and Valencia style paella (was even better when we had the leftovers after some late night drinking). I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but it's definitely great if you're in the area. We noticed many delivery men taking out orders so we assume its popular for the locals too.

We were three people, jet-lagged and exhausted. the place was empty when we arrived because it was much too early for dinner. Nevertheless, we were served with care and politeness. The waiter even indulged my fumbling attempts at Spanish. The food was excellent. We ordered grilled vegetables for an appetizer, because... healthy. They were not over cooked, still had body and veggie flavors. We did add salt. The seafood paella was excellent ! Slight bit of crunchy rice at the very bottom of the pan, even cook on the rice above, stewed in a rich broth, seafood cooked to the appropriate level, including several different types of seafood. My daughter, 11, had the rice and seafood soup. She did have to peel the prawns and take off the head, but was game to look past that challenge. She loved the flavor of the broth and rice, clams, cuttlefish strips. We finished with a white chocolate and three berry cake. Smooth texture with flavorful fruit. Great experience!
