Good vibe very nice. Pulled pork had the flavor of bbq but wasn't saturated in sauce which I liked. Nachos were perfect after a long day-- very filling
If you're looking for a variety of beer styles without a menu so large that deciding is a struggle, Garage has what you need! They do keep with the trends (does Spain even have traditional beer styles to brew?) so you'll find the unavoidable hypehaze IPAs, DIPAs and TIPAs that infest every American brewery menu, along with refreshing berlinerweisse and gose style beers and more, with a good rotation of offerings. The berlinerweisse we had was perfect for the Barcelona heat!
The space is narrow but long, with seating from bar chairs to comfy couches extending back from the small bar area. It's also done up in that fashionably spare style (but the art is good; even the women's WC has great murals!) so things can get loud when it's busy. Limited food service is also available if you find yourself getting snacky; prices on the beers and food were quite reasonable for the neighbourhood. If you're looking for casual but creative beer in Barcelona, swing by Garage!
I'm a huge craft beer geek from Southern California and was told by a friend to visit Garage Brewing while in Barcelona on holiday. I was so impressed with their beers that I bought a souvenir pint glass (for 2 euro!!!) and brought it home.
Great quality, diverse offerings (I had a session porter, session IPA, and hazy IPA), and great conversation with staff. I visited a few other breweries and "craft beer bars" while in Barcelona and none of their offerings compare to what Garage is pouring. Bonus points for cozy/hip atmosphere.
You can definitely tell the people here care about the quality of beer they produce, and I will definitely be coming back to Garage next time we visit!
Pretty cool place. Has a very brewery hipster vibe to it. Food is good, they have a great selection of sandwiches. Beers are a little more expensive than I anticipated. Service was a little slow but decent spot overall.
Very good craft beer place with their own beers as well as many guest ones. You van get either half or full pints and prices are fair.
Met a British couple who suggested we check this place out and we really loved it. Great beer, the servers were really nice and so were the locals & other tourists we talked with throughout the night.
We found a California style IPA in Spain! Praise be!
The beer selection at Garage Beer Co was awesome. Definitely something to please everyone. They had tons of seating inside and a decent food menu which worked for all sorts of dietary restrictions.
One thing they could do to up their game is get some board games to play!
Away from the main tourist area and full of locals enjoying their craft beer. Plenty of choice from pale, IPA, DIPA and even a Porter. Cans available too. Main meals and Tapas also on offer. If your a beer guy you will definitely want to stop by here to grab a drink. Anyone I came here with always loved a beer that they haven't tried before. Was not very busy when I went on a Friday night.
Great beer on tap, with something for everyone - pils, IPAs, sours, etc. You can also get some of their beers in cans. The vibe is great, and a large window at the back gives a view of the tanks where the magic happens. I docked a star though because the ladies restroom was out of toilet paper and soap.
This review is for the beer, they are doing good things here. They specialize in hoppy beers and do them very well. I had an outstanding west coast IPA and a double IPA as well that I really liked. We also ordered food and enjoyed the meat/cheese board. A little different offering on the board than you get in most places, not just jamon and chorizo. Cozy little place, some couches, several tables. They do a good job in keeping with the garage theme but making it comfy as well. We only made it by once and I was a little sad we did not make it back. In a city that was not my absolute favorite, it may be a while before we get back to Barcelona so hopefully I can grab some cans from these guys, they make great beer.
We stopped by this brewery randomly on our way home and so glad we did!! The bar itself is really cool and plenty of sitting! The bar tender even though didn't speak much english (and me no Spanish) was still really helpful, giving us tips and let us sample a few of the sours they had! Overall great beer, great people and great atmosphere!!
This was a great find thanks to Yelp! I love craft beer and I was happy to see it has made its way to Spain. I liked the simplicity of the space: outdoor seating, lots of different seating inside, small bar upfront. It appears that their draft selection changes regularly, but while I was there I had a sour, a pilsner and an APA. They were all great, but if you are a fan of sours, I would recommend trying theirs! They have a small menu too with some finger food. The nachos were really good. Extra cheesy with crispy chips! The employees were quick to walk around and pick up any empty glassware, so the place was pretty clean and well kept.
The craft beer scene is spread to Spain it seems. I happened to be looking on untapped and Garage Beer Co and other half brewing collaborated on a New England style ipa called more green popped up on the trending beer list. My beer obsession that had been dormant suddenly kicks back into full gear and I research garage brewing and find it's a stones throw away from where we ate dinner at Cervecería Catalana. I black out for a moment and find myself standing garage brewing, convenient!
I try the more green ipa and the no country imperial stout. The more green ipa is a great representation of a New England style ipa with tropical pineapple, peach and apricot bites. The tell tale hazy pour and dank orange yellow hue sets up my expectations, that are promptly met. The no country stout was also good but seems to finish with the dark fruit note that I find many European imperial stouts end with.
Garage brewing company is cranking out some quality beers. Come here if your visiting Barcelona and need a New England style ipa fix.

This microbrewery has the start-up feel to it that always gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling. I loved the edgy industrialized decor, unpretentious bar staff and the feeling that the owner and everyone that works here is passionate about beer! They have a good variety; 8-9 beers of their own and a couple guest beers on tap. They offer free samples and our bar server created a customized flight for us. I'm a hop head so I was pleased to be able to sample 4 IPAs before settling on a pint of the Slinger. I also sampled the Blacksmith, an an easy drinking malty stout.
We found this place early in the day and also late in our trip. The beer and food were respectably priced. Beer selection and quality was good from the 4-6 we tasted (this place was the only one that openly gave sips to sample). Everything was great and I'd assume they have a pretty good crowd during peak times.
The beer is fantastic. Best craft brewer in Barcelona. Don't order food from here. I saw the "chef" put two orders into the microwave from the window cut out from the bar.
Great craft beer place with it's own beers on tap and a startup feel to the place. Craft beer lovers will love it, but if you after a wide variety, or something a little more mainstream, this place isn't for you.
The front of the bar is by far the best place to hang out however if you are a larger group, it is better to head to the back area with is much larger than expected (its also where the brewing equipment is).
Food selection is a little limited, which is probably the main downfall.
I regularly organise a bunch of beer-loving mates to go on a craft beer crawl through Barcelona and this place is one of our regular stops for the area.
Dog friendly.
Gluten free beer available at this local brew house and the nachos were great! Friendly staff - the bartender knows his stuff - and the selection was terrific. Take his advice - it's a chill place with a lot to offer in the middle of the city.
Great craft beer bar in L'eixample area of Barcelona stopped in last summer recommending the garage ipa and the saison, don't forget the saison!
Today was a perfect rainy day to go check out the local brewery scene in Barcelona about 10 blocks walk from our hotel. Garage Beer company was our second stop and much more enjoyable meeting Matias our bartender and Alberto the co-owner. Loved listening to their stories of how they came to Barcelona and ending up working/ starting this successful business! Being a quiet afternoon we were able to enjoy their company and hospitable personalities! It is crazy busy at night though we have read and been told.
I tried a lighter Saison called Marry This. Then Alberto offered a delightful sour for me to try called Silver Peel in a decanter with a spout tip to pour the drink into your mouth via a long stream. I missed and couldn't hold and swallow fast enough without making a mess. All the more fun though! Of course Alberto is a pro at demonstrating the skill!
Thanks for making this afternoon such a wonderful experience to be remembered. Alberto even gave us other restaurants, wine and bars to try if we have time!
Dear Hubby tried three beers and enjoyed each one: an IPA Soup, Legend a more bitter IPA and a stout named Sitter recommended by Matias to end his beer tasting like a dessert ends a meal.
Matias also suggested a Porchetta sandwich which was delicious and hot the spot.
They brew here and at another facility about 20 minutes away. Today they were brewing and you could see the foam spouting. Go and check them out!

Atencion increible y cerveceros profesionales
