We chose to celebrate out 10th anniversary at gastropub CERA 23 and were delighted with the service, food and drinks. We started with a must-try red sangria and blackberry, black vodka mojito. The tartar trio (tomato, tuna and beef) were so tasty that it set the tone for the rest of the dinner (get the bread basket to accompany it). We followed with the chorizo and gambas pasta plate and finished with a seared tuna cube plate that was just what our day needed to accentuate our amazing day in Barcelona. Not able to fit a dessert, we opted out for two grapa, chocolate, cherry shots from the Galicia region. WOW, this place delivered and surpassed expectations. Thank you to the superb staff at CERA 23 for making our visit to this gorgeous city an extra special one. Gracias desde Miami.
Great service, great food. It was crowed for St Stephen’s Day, but everything went smoothly. There was a special cannelloni-like dish that is traditional for the day after Christmas. It was delicious. The rice volcano did not disappoint. The grilled octopus was perfect for starters.
One caveat. This restaurant is located in a very sketchy neighborhood. We left at 15:00 and witnessed the aftermath of a stabbing and the beginning of a police sweep. If I hadn’t been full of vino blanco and good food, I would have panicked.
Great food, but small portions.. I recommend ordering a starter and a maincorse and desserts.
must try house cocktail which is the blackberry mojito... most fantastic cocktail... it is alone worth going to the restaurant for.
